Centro Ecumenico Diego de Medellin
The Diego de Medellin Ecumenical Centre is a theological and social organisation of an ecumenical nature comprising men and women who coordinate and initiate processes with individual people, church communities, neighbourhood communities and working communities to make a critical contribution to the development of a participatory, fair, welcoming and inclusive society.
General objectives of the triennial plan 2007-2009:
- Promote the coordination and strengthen the capacity to influence of Christian communities, ecumenical groups and networks. Equip them to be critical and proactive citizens working for a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable society.
- Encourage men and women to develop a gender equity perspective in theological and spiritual reflection.
- Strengthen the ecumenical dimensions of churches, communities and Christian organisations through coordinated and committed action in the social and cultural context of the country.
- Consolidate the institution to equip it for dealing with contingencies and current challenges.
