Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM)
Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM) established in 1966 to advise the churches on health issues.
CHAM has now 171 member health facilities (20 major hospitals, 30 community hospitals, the rest health centers with or without maternity) includes ten teaching hospitals. The facilities employ about 7000 employees (those actually in post against an establishment of about 13,000).
The facilities provide about 37-40% of the health care service delivery in Malawi 80% of such in hard to staff areas.
