Fundação Luterana de Diaconia
The Fundação Luterana de Diaconia - FLD (Lutheran Foundation of Diakonia) is a non profit organization established as an independent legal entity, created and sponsored by the Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil – IECLB. It is a civil society organization of public interest with a mandate of serving especially the impoverished all over the Brazilian territory without discrimination of race, sex, religion or political affiliation.
The FLD mission is to support and to follow up projects and programs of organized civil society groups and communities which aim at improving quality of life, citizenship and social justice.
The Foundation carries out its mission prioritising programmes and projects of groups committed to promote gender equality and combat racism and overcome violence in the following areas:
1. Income generation
2. Popular education
3. Family agriculture and ecology
4. Health, specially prevention of STD, HIV/Aids
