Social Health and Education Development (SHED)

Bangladesh Baptist Church Sangha (BBCS) is the largest Protestant Church-Body in the country. Social Health and Education Development Board (SHED Board) has since its inception been functioning as a Service Arm of the Bangladesh Baptist Church Sangha (BBCS) for socio-economic development and welfare activities; and it has been implementing duly approved projects and programs with local as well as foreign donation/contribution.

Objectives

  • To improve socio-economic conditions of the underprivileged sections of people with special focus to landless, marginal farmers, distressed women and children.
  • To provide community health care to meet the basic health needs of reference people.
  • To provide better education following holistic development approach so that children can get admission into the mainstream competitive schooling system.
  • To assist natural disaster victims through emergency relief and rehabilitations.
