YAKKUM (including YEU)

Chistian Foundation for Public Health (YAKKUM) is founded by the synod of Indonesian Christian Churches (GKI) and The Synod of Javanese Christian Churches (GKJ). YAKKUM's vision is "health and prosperity of human and environment as a sign and realisation of the salvation of God". To achieve the vision, YAKKUM established a comprehensive health care effort through 12 hospitals and 20 Rural clinics for curative holistic treatment, 8 Community Development Sub-Units to solve the root of community problems, 2 Rehabilitation units for disabled persons, 3 Nursing Academy Units and 2 pharmaceutical factory to produce qualified products at discounted prices. The service coverage of YAKKUM's CD Units is 326 villages (266.816 beneficiaries) that are mostly living under poverty line.

YAKKUM Emergency unit: As a new unit established in 2001 under YAKKUM for disaster management, has developed very rapidly, providing emergency health related services for the survivor of major disaster in Indonesia, with the total beneficiaries is 73.430 people. YAKKUM Rehabilitation Centre has served more than 3074 disabled young adults through medical operation, medical rehabilitation, psychosocial rehabilitation, vocational training, jobs findings and community based rehabilitation. YAKKUM now facilitates more than 350 CBOs.
