ACT Nepal Forum
The Lutheran World Federation Nepal was for many years (since 1995) the only ACT member present in Nepal.
Two other international ACT members, DanChurch Aid (DCA) and Interchurch Organization for Development Co-operation (ICCO), Netherlands recently set up offices in Nepal during 2008 and 2009 respectively.
These members began meeting informally and on an ad-hoc basis and in October 2009 agreed to create the ACT Nepal Forum including the development of a Memorandum of Understanding outlining cooperation and coordinated humanitarian actions, development work and advocacy, including capacity building initiatives.
Besides DanChurch Aid and Interchurch Organization for Development Co-operation-ICCO, other ACT members i.e. Norwegian Church Aid - NCA, FinChurch Aid-FCA , Canadian Lutheran World Relief - CLWR, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America- ELCA, Lutheran World Relief-LWR and Australian Lutheran World Service -ALWS are the supporting partners of LWF in Nepal.
