ACT Tanzania Forum

ACT Forum Tanzania is active and organized forum.

They have a memorandum of understanding, and members meet at least once every month and as often as possible during emergencies. The ACT Forum Tanzania has been formally working together for the last five years and  has undertaken various interventions together, including; drought response, flood response and  related (including landslides) emergencies.

ACT Forum Tanzania has also been active in advocacy work with the government, capacity assessment and  training workshops for members of staff and related organs.

The ACT Forum Tanzania Strategic Plan is in the process. The chair/convener of  ACT Forum Tanzania is  TCRS  and CCT is the  Secretariat.

During emergencies, the ACT Forum Tanzania works through the local member churches of the Christian Council of Tanzania (CCT).

To ensure quality,  effectiveness, efficiency and to maintains a true testimony of the diaconal mandate of the ecumenical expression of the church, the staff members of the local churches are empowered through capacity building sessions including  training workshops.

All participants in any emergency and related interventions must sign and abide to the Code of Conduct.
