ACT Zimbabwe Forum

Members of the ACT Forum in Zimbabwe meet monthly. The forum members are Christian Care, Lutheran Development Service, Christian Aid. The latter is non-implementing. The forum has been working together for about seven years. It has responded to emergencies together in different operational areas and has conducted a joint needs assessment. The implementing members of the forum have worked with churches (Zimbabwe Council of Churches) on the humanitarian recovery projects. There have been peer reviews /evaluations and capacity assessment amongst the forum members. The forum has a Memorandum of Understanding. It does not have a strategic plan in place but might consider coming up with one in future. However each forum member has its own organisational strategic plan. The forum does not have a paid Coordinator but a convener. The convenorship is rotated on an annual basis amongst implementing members. The current convener is Mr Ulibile Gwate of the Lutheran Development Service and the Forum is in a process of changing the Convenorship to Christian Care.
