The initial plan of ACT members is to provide support to soup kitchens, food packages distribution and mobilizing large-scale delivery of hygiene and cleaning supplies to facilitate rapid clean-up and mitigate health and hygiene related problems that will emerge as soon as the waters begin to recede.

ACT Alliance Alert Reference Number: 17/2014. ACT member Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT) plans to assist 4,500 out of the identified 18,976 people by providing them with a three months quality food ration and, provide scholastic materials to affected school children. According to the District commissioner’s report, these are the most affected ones.

ACT Alliance Alert Reference Number. 15/2014: The ACT Chile Forum is carrying out a complete assessment, conducted by Fundación Educación Popular en Salud (EPES), in collaboration with CREAS, CLAI and with local churches and community organizations to find out the most critical issues that ACT Alliance can address based on institutional resources and capacities. The Lutheran and Methodist churches are already supporting the affected population with some food and non food items, donated by congregations and citizens.The Forum is planning to work with 300 families in two of the most affected communities in the hills Litre and Las Cañas, on psycho-social support with children, women, men and young people.

ACT Alliance Alert Reference Number: 12/2014: the ACT Alliance Liberia Forum plans to have a regional intervention. The main activities will include needs assessment, create awareness among the population, and providing/distributing needed materials such as personal protective equipment to health workers (including a set of gloves, jackets, footwear, etc.).

ACT Alliance Alert Reference Number: 11/2014. ACT member Diego de Medellin Ecumenical Centre (CEDM) is doing a needs assessment in cooperation with the Evangelical Methodist Church, guest in the ACT forum, and the national humanitarian network. The forum is mobilizing two LAC Psychosocial Support Community Based experts to draw a strategy for the affected population. The ACT forum will share their plans and further activities soon.
