Hot lunch in Haiti: reducing hunger, enhancing learning

Friday, January 13, 2012

ACT members the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund and Finn Church Aid, along with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, have come together to provide 37 schools in Haiti with rice, beans, oil and salt – feeding 8,000 school children a hot lunch every day. This programme has brought children back to school, helping keep them focused and alert to study and learn, free from the burden of hunger.
