Haiti earthquake response: six month update
Wednesday, September 08, 2010
The earthquake in Haiti stirred compassion in the hearts of people all over the world. ACT member CRWRC, an international relief and development agency, having already worked in Haiti for thirty years, was well-positioned to respond because of its long-term presence, and because of the strong support of its constituents.
This film conveys the scope and impact of CRWRC's earthquake response in the first six months.
Through interviews with CRWRC staff and volunteers and the stories of Haitian Madame Edner Dekaye, Madame Guirlene, and children, a picture is painted that portrays the extent and effectiveness of CRWRC's response, which includes addressing the needs of food, shelter, and psychosocial support.
