Dem. Rep. of the Congo

Since 1997, ACT has assisted people suffering the effects of war, and natural disasters including the July 2009 volcano eruption. The most recent appeal targets more than 10,000 households of people displaced by war, returnees and malnourished children. In coordination with international agencies and local authorities, ACT provides relief items, seeds, tools, livestock, psychosocial support, school rehabilitation, access to clean water and shelter to replace burnt houses. Support continues with an appeal in 2010.
